So, the D&D campaign wrapped up Saturday. It went well, if I may say myself.

It's interesting, I feel, to run your first campaign. Because you can actively sense yourself improving, in your ability to make shit up at a moment's notice, if nothing else. This (ironically, perhaps) was made more apparent back in October, when (due to two in five ( Read more... )

I've always found improvisation to be an important skill when running games. Also, it's very satisfying when you run a session that is mostly improvised and your players can't tell the difference. Better yet when they have more fun than usual.

Metal Opera, by the way, was awesome, and I will probably run it over break for my friends back in Seattle.

Think you're going to want to run another game in the spring?

Not sure.

The last session had a very "End of the party" feel to it; Sorel is dead, Miranda seems to have settled down, and while Wade is now the leader of a mercenary guild which has Dresic and Apollo... well, Michael's not going to be around next semester, so...

Also, I'm betting it's going to be a busy spring, and it's been a year since I last *played*.

We'll see, though. There was something about rotating GMing for Spirit of the Century? I might like to run a session of that, if I play. Otherwise... *shrug*
