At least you can *make* icons. I have absolutely no idea how. I think you have to use Fireworks/Photoshop, neither of which I have. I'm more of a write myself, though.

You can make icons too. Just use MicrosoftPaint, it comes free with every PC. It's in Star>All Programs>Accessories>Microsoft Paint.
