No, you're doing it right, although as I'm sure you can understand, suggesting more than one website will not get you more than one book. Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha haI will contact you with regard to which prize book you want
haha, no no, i knew that but i thought i'd throw in a few more options in case the first one wasn't valid. but let's be honest, lj is the cool place to be these days (and it always was!) and that community was last updated yesterday so it's still active!
Nice one. For some reason you were flagged as a "suspicious comment" but you do not look suspicious to me. I will contact you with regard to what prize book you want.
Hello I am trying to contact you to give you your prize but you have privacy enabled on LiveJournal so I can't message you, can you message me about it when you get a chance please? thanks
I'm not sure if this is something that you or your publisher has to do (?) but I know www.goodreads.com gives out books for people to review on their site, people ask for the books and then either get the book or not based on their activity on the site (ex, if you tell goodreads you read a lot about monkeys and if you ask to get a book about monkeys to review early then you'll probably get it because they knew you like monkeys). www.librarything.com does a similar thing, although I'm not sure how they pick who gets the books -- I've never done it before on that site.
Ug I'm sorry, I can't count GoodReads and LibraryThing because they don't have a centralized editor whom I (or the book company) can email to ask to plug the book. I appreciate it though, and you know I thank you for your support and comments over the years.
Ahh, it's okay. That's interesting how it works, though. I didn't really realize that.
And anytime! I really appreciate how you interact with your readers and I'm also really looking forward to your next book -- I'll definitely be heading out to pick it up the day it's released.
I suggest GoodReads.com I'm not sure if you're aware of this website, but it's great because you can interact with other authors, and fans of your work. There are also giveaways, and you can track what books you read when you sign up. It can help Beyond the Wall because when you put the book up, others can put it as "To Read." It's sort of like facebook, where what that person has under "To Read" or "Read" it shows up on their friend's newsfeed. Therefore, able to make your books more popular, and your name more well-known.
It doesn't really count because it doesn't have an editorial structure for reviews/promotions... but it's good to keep in mind for advertising. Thanks for the suggestion
