Aww, thanks. *blushes* I'm totally going to keep the fact that the concept is stolen on the dl. Lol.

Here because of a rec by a friend, and holy hell. Sweet holy hell, this is good. I haven't read Happy Endings, but I have read some of Atwood's works and ugh, oh my god, this is breathtaking.

Seriously, I read this two days ago and I still don't have the words to say how much I freaking adore this story.

*squee* Thanks so much. I have the link to Happy Endings up at the top of the entry if you want to take a look at it. It's really short and so, so good. Margaret Atwood and Joyce Carol Oates are two of my favorite short story writers. Anytime I see something by them the literary parts of my brain spasm a little.

I'm glad you liked it! Hopefully there'll be more to come this summer. :)

I'll go check it out in a minute, but seriously, I need to ramble about this story for a moment, and I apologize. I am gushing, a little. This was amazing. I have to give you props because every time I had to go back and check what the previous part was, and how you expanded and changed things and broke my heart and made me a little breathless.

There is something about this story that makes you think, well snap, now everything I've ever read is blown out of the water. I mean, I spent the rest of the day just thinking about each story, embellishing on them in my head until I nearly drove myself insane. Because Jon, Pat, boys! which is the only way I can explain my thoughts.

I really hope to see more from you (and robots are coming apparently? I might be excited). :)

You know, even now, I go through tiny fits of panic that this entire fic doesn't make sense or that I left out something that would tie it together in a better way. My professor this past semester said that an ending should be both surprising and completely expected. That's what I try to think about when I write now, even outside of the context of endings. I'm glad to hear that the story works.

now everything I've ever read is blown out of the water

That's quite the compliment. Thank you, but I don't know if you're at all involved in the Supernatural fandom. 90% of everything is crap, but seriously? the 10% in that fandom is to die for. Absolutely, crazy creative and wonderful. (Lol. Now I'm gushing.) Parts of SGA fandom are really, really amazing as well. Merlin too, but I feel like there's only so much you can read before you're reading the same story in different words.

Jon, Pat, boys!I honestly can't say what draws me to them in such a strong way. They've become so much more than the real life athletes they are, in my mind, at ( ... )

Gorgeous - heartbreaking through most of it, but I just knew there had to be a Toews/Kane ending in there somewhere :)

I do believe in happy endings, even though it may not look like it. :) I'm glad you liked it.
