So, Will somebody explain the Icon thing to me? How did you all get such amazing icons that look as though they are crafted from awesome??

I got my current one by saving an icon posted in an multiple icon post  by bizzylizzybee at bitter_nakano. I credit it in the comment of my userpic, but i don't know if what i did is considered rude and I should delete it. I don't want to

Don't worry hun , you aren't doing anything wrong. The icon I'm using now is the artwork of Cynchick, yes, THAT Cynchick. XD If anybody asks you where you got your icon from, you must credit the artist who created it but otherwise, its fine to use them as they are. Some people ask the artist for permission first but most of the time, the artists are glad their work is liked enough to be immortalized in icons. XD

As for hotlinking, that is when you copy a link directly to someone else' photobucket and paste it in your icon URL box. If you saved it in your computer first and then uploaded it to LJ, you're fine. :)
