Following that little excursion, I hope you've all learned a thing or two. Knowledge is power, they say.

Go on, tell me what you've learned. The doctor is listening.

I've learned I'm growing too careless.

On a completely different subject, Guy Cecil told me to get in touch with you. As "one of the top fonists" from your world, I need your opinion on something.

Artes from Auldrant and Aselia are strikingly similar and seem to work around the same basic theory. The only main difference is the source used to power the spells. That source should be indigenous to our own worlds, though for some reason our artes still function in Luceti.

That being said, the following theory was offered: Can we learn artes from different worlds? An inhabitant of Auldrant could never control mana, as only those with elven blood have the ability to do so. How about the other way around, though? Could someone from Aselia learn to control fonons?

...No. Using fonic artes requires one's body to possess active fon slots, as well as blood fonons--fonon-enriched blood. By taking in fonons from your surroundings and processing them, one can cast fonic artes.

None of that could be created artificially, I suppose?

Perhaps if we had a plentiful supply of fonons that were readily accessible, it would be possible to create blood fonons. However, you cannot create fon slots and "install" them on a person to use.

I see. Any theories as to why both fonons and mana can apparently be taken from our surroundings their respective artes users?

From what was discovered within the warehouse, it seems that the Malnosso have taken these elements from our world and contained them. It can be assumed that they're then released into Luceti in a controlled fashion.

There's one flaw with that, though. The Malnosso aren't the ones who bring the residents to this world, nor do they seem to have the technology to do so. How could they do this for natural elements? They'd have to be fabricated or taken from elsewhere.
