Poor bear :-( Where it says "... had to consider public safety", I couldn't help thinking what a load of shit, one or two less Americans the better.

I fear my day will just consist of trying to get someone elses work to compile. Today will not be good.

I don't advocate one thing over another, I certainly don't advocate the killing of a black bear (which compared to their cousins the "brown bear" in pretty harmless), for the sake of "safety". These people are such drips.

Saya they tried to tranquilise it but it kept to the woods so i assume that means lack of clear shot and unable to get within the required range for a dart so it was that or let it starve to death

Regardless to the range of dart. If you could kill it then you could also dart it.
