Still shaken by her mother's confession that she loved a man other than her father, Dani doesn't understand why Angela wouldn't try to find her lost love, so she asks Nico to track him down. After her mother suffers a minor heart attack, Dani becomes even more determined to reunite her mother and Eddie Marconi. But Dr. Gunner thinks that Angela's heart attack is actually a wakeup call for Dani, not Angela, because Dani is the one who's avoiding resolving the issues around her own lost love.
TK's search for a sponsor seems like a bust until he runs into his old hero and friend, Cojo Liberty, at an AA meeting. At first Cojo is reluctant to take on TK this early in his own process, but their connection is so strong that Cojo eventually agrees. But as happy as he is to have Cojo as his sponsor, TK is still not exactly giving in to the process. Will TK's stubbornness make Cojo walk?
Nico and the Hawks management hit a snag trying to sell the team when they discover that Pittman secretly sold the stadium, parking lot and practice facilities to undisclosed third parties at half its value. Without the stadium, no one will buy the Hawks. As the acting GM, Matt is upset that Nico didn't tell him about the issue, especially since he heard about it from Noelle, who is back in town and interested in picking up where they left off. With the new star quarterback Rex Evans suddenly flying off the handle at games and messing up plays left and right, Matt wonders if he can bail water fast enough to save this sinking ship. Maybe a little diversion from the very smart and attractive Noelle wouldn't be such a bad thing...
