Ultimately, love is willingness to sacrifice, whatever the sacrifice involves. Jesus could not have died for us *without* loving us; no sane person would do that. (Like it says, "Greater love hath no man than this: that he lay down his life for his friends." The love is the sacrifice

**Can you sacrifice without emotional affection (and by affection I mean finding that person endearing in some sort of way, however slight)? Yes. So can you love without affection? I think so
