Comments on ABC's 9/11 movie ...

... that I think should be read.

From reading a friends' list of a friendI've heard a lot of things about the movie, but what I find most telling is that the only people who've had screenings are those in the right-wing corner of politics. I just read an Entertainment Weekly review by someone who has seen the movie. They basically said it blamed the left and the right equally, and also that it wasn't very good as a film.

I do know that the overall goal was to show that there was a lot of inadequacies on all sides of the political spectrum, regardless of who was president. Except there will be a lot of people who see this movie, and take certain scenes in it as what actually happened. And it does make sense that President Clinton, and his Cabinet, would be featured more, given that 9/11 happened so soon into President Bush's first term.

Except the makers of this movie didn't let anyone on the left who's featured in this movie see an advanced screening (from what I've read online). And I believe quite a few of them requested one. That bothers me.

Oh yeah, I definitely agree with you. That is very suspicious. It's always kind of shady when a movie about a real event fabricates things. It's even worse when a movie fabricates things that place blame for a national tragedy. They obviously have some sort of agenda in doing so.
