Three months after FUNimation was forced to
take down their streaming One Piece episodes & cancel their
simulcast plans, they're finally coming back! Due to the fact that someone "hacked" into Funi's servers & distributed what was to be the first simulcast episode over a day before it even aired in Japan, FUNimation had to put their One Piece streaming plans on hold without word on when they might (if ever) resume again. This included not just the recent Japanese episodes, but episodes from the beginning of the series as well. But today, they made the official announcement of its return.
As rumored, Funi will be including all the episodes we missed up to this point. Beginning this Friday, they'll start from the beginning of the Sabaody Archipelago Saga with episode 391, & then stream 3 new episodes everyday, leading up to the simulcast of episode 415 on the night of August 29 & the current Amazon Lily Saga. No word yet if FUNimation plans on streaming the early episodes of One Piece again, nor if there are plans to stream older One Piece on Hulu again.
