Next Haruhi Novel Delayed Another Year
Here in America we've only just started getting the Haruhi Suzumiya light novels. We had to wait awhile for the first one to come, but Japan has also had to wait awhile. For the next book to come out, that is. The tenth novel in the Haruhi series, "the Surprise of Haruhi Suzumiya," was originally scheduled to come out on June 1, 2007. But a mere two weeks before its supposed debut, it was announced that the book's publication date was changed to TBA & was delayed indefinitely.
Now here we are, two years later, & still no tenth Haruhi book. To make matters worse, Sneaker Magazine has released an article with dates of all the light novels hitting Japan in the next year. Haruhi is nowhere to be seen on the list. Thus, we can only conclude that number ten wont be coming out until at least mid 2010. To put things in perspective, the first four Haruhi novels all came out in about one year's time. What ever's taking the tenth one so long (which is even a direct sequel to the ninth) is anyone's guess.
