Strike Witches Goodies Galore
As an added bonus to those who buy the Strike Witches complete series on DVD in Japan, an assumingly extremely erotic cushion is included with the set. It's so erotic apparently that online shops are unable to show the item uncensored, though this is more likely a marketing ploy then anything else. Though with Gonzo possibly turning to hentai, who knows? First the Druaga ecchi pillowcases & now this. The complete series with the ero-cushion is selling for ¥50,000, or about $500 American. & if you think no one would pay such an outrageous price well, it's already completely sold out even though it has yet to hit stores.
Another notable new Strike Witches item is the emergence of the first real, official PVC figurine. Naturally it's of main protagonist Yoshika Miyafuji, & her pose is based off of a Megami Magazine poster. I think Yoshika herself looks great here, but I just wish her Striker Unit either wasn't there or would be removable. I realize it's an important & recognizable icon of the series itself, but I find it too big & distracting of her moe-ness... & her tasty not-pantsu. That's what's mainly stopping me from spending $50 bucks on her, though I may not even have that option anyway. She's only being sold by AmiAmi, which doesn't allow international buyers.
& finally, a very special & noteworthy Strike Witches doujinshi will be going on sale at Comiket later this month. This Lynette centric doujin is being released by Kazuhiro Takamura, the director of the actual anime series. The fact that someone officially tied to the series is releasing a story that would otherwise be considered nonofficial is sure to make this a must-buy item indeed. Gotta get my hands on a copy. =b
