Second Season of Bakugan
A sequel to the hit anime toy commercial series "Bakugan: Battle Brawlers" is now in the works, set to come out in Japan in Spring 2009. Titled "Bakugan: New Vestroia," the new season will be about the heroes joining the Bakugan Resistance in order to save the enslaved home world of the Bakugan beasts. It is set to run for 26 episodes.
The first season of Bakugan ran for 51 episodes in Japan, but 52 episodes in the West. Cartoon Network is a little more than halfway through the first series, with new episodes airing every weekend on TV & online. It's also one of the few anime CN has left on their network at this point. No word yet on if "New Vestroia" will be licensed for a western release, but considering all the marketing that's going into that series, you can probably bank on it. Unless your bank was Washington Mutual, anyway.
