AX08: Funimation Monthly Update
& now one final FUNimation-related post from this past weekend's Anime Expo. Funi recorded this month's Monthly Update podcast straight from the convention & had a blast soaking in all the buzz that was surrounding them. Because let's face it, Funi was the star of the convention this year.
The first part of the video is a cosplay segment where Scott goes around interviewing a bunch of people who have dressed up for the convention. After that, the podcast was kind enough to actually show direct video footage of FUNimation's big Ouran Host Club panel. Pretty cool to see all the voice actors dressed up & announcing their characters, including a cross-dressing Mike McFarland. XD The final part of the video continues with the Ouran theme by showing behind-the-scenes footage of dubbing the series.
It should be noted that the podcast is actually rated MA & I had to enter my birthday to get access to it. That's probably only because Scott accidentally lets out a dirty word during the cosplay segment. =b Overall this second Monthly update seemed like a big improvement over the first, but that might only be because of the AX atmosphere.
