Over the past week, Toon Zone has been putting up lists of the best animated fights for various different categories in cartoon history. As expected, this includes a lot of anime brawls, in addition to some very fantastic American series as well. As they wrote in the entries:
Here at Toon Zone News, we firmly believe that non-violent solutions to Real World problems are the ones that should be actively sought out and implemented. These solutions are harder to do, but if done correctly, they will tend to be more permanent, resulting in less ancillary suffering of innocent bystanders and more long-term happiness for all parties involved.
That's why we want our cartoon characters to solve their problems with as much violence as possible.
The first category was Bare-Knuckled Brawls, & included such fights as Amuro Ray VS Char Aznable (Gundam: Char's Counterattack) & Porco Rosso VS Curtis (Porco Rosso). The second category is all about Duels, & while there is no Yu-Gi-Oh on the list, it does include Samurai Jack V) Shinobi (Samurai Jack) & Cloud VS Sephiroth (FFVII: Advent Children).
The Power Fights category, as expected, is completely dominated by anime series. You got Son Goku VS Vegeta (DBZ), Naruto, Tsunade, Jiraiya, & Shizune VS Orochimaru & Kabuto (Naruto), Straw Hat Luffy VS Mr. 0 (One Piece), Team Urameshi VS Team Masho (YuYu Hakusho). One the other hand, the Comedy Fight category contains no anime at all. But it does include cool fights like Peter VS Chicken (Family Guy) & Bender VS Zoidberg (Futurama).
& finally there was the Takedowns category, featuring the likes of Aang VS Admiral Zhao (Avatar) & Unit-01 VS the 14th Angel (Evangelion). So what are you waiting for? Get started on reading about these awesome & amazing fights right here with the very first throwdown:
