Clone Wars Not Coming to Toonami
The new Star Wars: the Clone Wars animated series due to hit Cartoon Network this Fall wont be shown on Toonami after all. Rather, the series will become the anchor of a brand new action block coming this Fall to CN Friday nights. Now when I say action block, I don't mean in the same way as Toonami is considered an action block. This block is more kid oriented action, whereas Toonami is more teen. Think more along the lines of what Miguzi was. Which is weird considering that Clone Wars is a bit more mature then that. I wouldn't be surprised if repeats of the series wound up on Toonami Jetstream though.
Other new series to join this new action block will be Batman: the Brave and the Bold, Ben 10: Alien Force, and the Secret Saturdays. Additionally, Cartoon Network is working on a sequel to last year's live-action Ben 10 movie. Thursday nights will turn into a comedy block, & Sundays will become a movie night. No new information on Toonami was provided during CN's upfront event.
