Just when you thought Adult Swim couldn't hate anime anymore by
limiting it to two nights, you thought wrong. AS has now confined anime to Saturdays only- one single night. That's right, starting tonight they've removed their Friday night anime block as well, meaning now there's no anime at all during the week (excluding the full hour of InuYasha that still runs every night at 5am, that is). FullMetal Alchemist & Ghost in the Shell have now joined all the other doomed series in Adult Swim cancellation. For god's sake AS, how much more suffering do you think we can take before we just drop dead?
New episodes of Shin-Chan are still scheduled, & it turns out there will be 26 in all this time around. The show will now move to Saturday nights, Adult Swim's only remaining night for anime. The one plus side to all this is that it'll give Saturdays a whole extra half hour for anime. Instead of 1.5 of anime, it'll now be a full 2 hours. The new Saturday anime schedule starting April 26 is as follows:
12:00- Shin-Chan
12:30- Bleach
01:00- Death Note
01:30- Code Geass
