English Version of AkibaBlog Starts
One of the most popular blogs in Japan for many years now has been the otaku website AkibaBlog. A blog dedicated to all true otaku out there, the site blogs all the happenings in the mecca of all things anime, manga, video games, & ERO- Akihabara. But until now the site has only been in Japanese. That's right, until now.
An official English translation version of the mega-blog has now been born. It promises to translate & post the articles as soon as the appear on the original site (except for weekends, where updates will have to wait till Monday). I've visited AkibaBlog plenty of times before when it was only in Japanese, & have posted news items from there several times in the past. So you can imagine how often I'll visit now that it's officially available in my native language. Kyon & Minoru have often linked to it in their blogs as well.
Be warned though that AkibaBlog does cover adult themed material quite a bit. They can range of ecchi figurines to NSFW scans of full-blown hentai, so do be careful when browsing the site. But a lot of posts can be completely safe as well, as it does cover all aspects of otaku culture. You can check out the brand new English page here:
