Negi in Negima TV Drama Casted
The actresses for the 31 school girls in the upcoming Negima live-action series were already chosen awhile back, but the spot for the series title character had been left empty. Who would be chosen to play Negi Springfield, the 10 year old prodigy & teacher over the girls in the class who are older than him (though the girls still being quite young)? Would he even maintain the same age as he did in the manga? Many didn't really think it was important considering it's been perceived that the girls will be the main focus of the TV drama.
Well now the questions have all been answered. 13-year-old actress Kashiwa Yukina has been chosen for the role. Yes, ACTRESS. Guess the producers thought it'd be best for a girl to play the role of prepubescent 10-year-old boy (hey, his seiyuu was an actress in the anime after all). But best of all, that means when all the girls in the class start hitting on their teacher, it'll be even better because they'll be hitting on another girl! So young girls hitting on an even younger girl. Uhhh, oh boy....
