JUST WANTED TO SAY, I'm glad you're updating again, Neb's! I looked at the journal recently and was wondering why there had been essentially nothing for a long time.

Glad to see you're back on it.

Thanks! At this point I just gotta push myself over this slacking hump I've been on until updating becomes a regular occurrence for me again. ^_^;;

yeah, I don't know who GameFreak thinks they're fooling. Every generation past the initial one, someone leaked all their "hidden" Pokemon from day one. Given, the past couple generations did stir things up a bit by revealing forme changes (Deoxys, Rotom, Giratina, Shaymin), but that only served to screw up trade-compatibility within the generation. They really might wanna consider hard-coded DLC or something; basically, the Pokemon's data doesn't even exist in the game until it's updated (hell, they might even be able to add new material by letting older versions trade with a newer versions, kinda like how Fire Red/Leaf Green fixed the clock glitch in Ruby/Sapphire, but I'm no programming expert ( ... )

Indeed. When I looked up Keldeo online for research, I discovered there was a crap-ton of information known about a creature that had only been "just" revealed this week. If they really wanna surprise their gamers, they should find a new way. I remember back in 1999 when Nintendo revealed that a Naboo starfighter had been hidden in the code of "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron" for the N64, almost a year after the game had come out. Literally nobody knew of its existence until Nintendo officially announced it.

it's just the era we live in. Release a game, and every single bit of content will be made public immediately (in some cases, a couple days before the game's supposed to even be out). This is especially true for a game series with a massive fanbase (and therefor, a massive number of hackers dedicated to it) such as Pokemon... though, way back in the day, I do wonder how many people knew of Mew's existence before it was officially unveiled. I mean, aside from the internet still growing in popularity at the time, it's been cited that even most of the game's staff wasn't aware that one programmer slipped it into the game's coding at practically the last minute, plus there was only a two-month window between the Japanese release of Red and Green (2/27/1996) and the very first Mew give-away, in which 20 lucky players could send in their cartridge after being drawn in a lottery (4/15/1996). Nonetheless, there were hackers back in the day, so I'd assume at least a few people managed to discover early on that the enigmatic Pokemon briefly ( ... )

As I said, I wish they had released Genosect, the Mewtwo of the game since I could beat the game again. But again, knew this would happen. And I know Grey will happen as Kyurem is best dragon. Now besides Genosect, we just have a cute legendary left.

And also glad you're back here.
