It's probably my dislike for K-ON!! speaking, but I honestly like the results of the second survey better. They're much more varied and don't make me roll my eyes at the collective tastes of the participants.
indeed. Though I don't mind K-ON! too much (even if I am willing to admit to its status as "moe-blob"), variety is very nice to have (to be fair, the other lists did have 5 places instead of 3, but that still doesn't really excuse those top 3 being from the same series).
Anyway, about these shows being "dated", I think Rurouni Kenshin is justified since it has gained a bit of a meme status on Nico Douga. As for the others.... shit, Miya^2's on there, so I'm not complaining. I'd say her and (the very recent) Kazuha are the best characters in their respective eroge, so in my eyes, it seems like the people voting on that list had damn good tastes (yes, even with Natsuru... at least she isn't an outright trap, but I would prefer Shizuku or Akane, in either form, personally). And damn, the ladies sure love Gintoki, don't they? Not even the K-ON! girls could end up on TWO of those lists.
