If the reason they used both is because they couldn't pick just one, I'm on that boat too. XD Hopefully the DVDs have both clean versions in the Extras for us to enjoy. :3 >^_^< MEOW!

Wow...dumbass. Kai is fuckin' better than Z. They only cut out the swearing, heavy blows, alcohol in the TV VERSION. Uncut has every bloody shit you want.
FUNimation's Kai wasn't too good in my opinion. They messed up with some of the voices, like King Kai's, and kept many of those horribly translated names, such as Spirit Bomb and Tri-Beam.
If you want the definitive version of Z, just try to find a source online with the Japanese version (the best one) or buy the uncut sets from FUNi.
I disagree with the sama notion.

I don't think it's necessary for him to shout out "Kami-Sama!" when that's not the correct way. Adding '-sama' to the ends of names is something only done in the Japanese language and adding it to an english translation is out of place, much like a weeaboo that mixes in Japanese words into their conversation. It's not Americanization, it's simply translation and whether or not you think sama sounds cute, it's also very improper.
