Haruhi Suzumiya Movie Out Now
The long-awaited Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie finally debuted today in Japan! & even though it'll be a long time before we outside of Japan get to see it, it's still cause for celebration. The video above comes from a Japanese TV show that actually visited the US to talk to American Haruhi fans at Anime Jungle in California. They also sit down & chat with Bang Zoom (the studio that dubbed Haruhi) president Eric Sherman as well.
While cool & all that on the day that the Disappearance movie came out they chose to show coverage of fans in the US, the real heart of the story is obviously in Japan. There were reports of 500+ people in lines at 8am to see the first screening of the film. Reviews have so far been greatly positive, which is a good sign that KyoAni can redeem themselves over Endless Eight.
