United Kingdom Gets Summer Wars
On the same day that FUNimation announced that they had licensed 15 live-action kung-fu movies, Manga UK announced two new licenses of their own- the live-action movie "Kamui," & Mamoru Hosoda's "Summer Wars" movie. Interestingly enough, Funi announced the following day that they had also licensed Kamui. Because of this, there was hope that they'd also be announcing Summer Wars later in the week as part of their Roll-Out Riot licenses. But as we all know by now, that's not what happened.
So Summer Wars remains unlicensed in the US, & England gets an amazing title that we don't have. Of course, this isn't the first time this has happened. For all you lucky Brits, you can buy this top-notch film on both DVD & Blu-ray this September.
