Unfinished, untitled Chiana/D'Argo smutfic

Unedited, too.

This is both an attempt to be brave and to get over myself - my tendency is to write and rewrite and rewrite until I'm filled with loathing for myself and for the story.  I have dozens of fics in various stages of progress that will probably never see the light of day and I'm currently stalled on the 3rd draft of one that I would ( Read more... )

Oh, this is lovely! Sweetly erotic and just... beautiful.

You have a slight slip in POV, but otherwise there is absolutely nothing wrong with this whatsoever!

Thank you =D I'm really pleased you enjoyed it, you're so talented at this kind of story :)

I do have to watch the POV in smut...I think the more I get into it the more I slip into the woman's head LOL

It is sad that there's not more D'Argo/Chi. There's so many possibilities with this relationship. Anyone who wants to have a serious relationship with one such a Chiana and the whys of it should be more explored. And when I say one such as Chiana I mean that in the best possible way. Her mix of free-spritedness and chained to her past, her fears and strengths, her selfishness and love for others...she's not easy to love. And D'Argo does love her. All of her. I think he's very aware of who she is. Trouble was he wanted her to change until the fourth season when he grew enough to accept her as she was. I like that about him. I also don't think it's a case of just being with her because she's the only unattached female. There's love between them that's for sure.

Anyway, I like this fic. It's good, character smut - the bestest kind! I dislike smutty fics where you could insert any character into a sexual situation. The trick is to bring out aspects of the characters through sex. You've done this very nicely here.

Thank you so much, Charlie! And thanks for your encouragement in posting it :)

I'm glad you enjoy their relationship and see the possibilities. It used to drive me nuts, they seemed so ill-matched, but then I learned to embrace that (it helps that I love angst) and to search for the things they had in common, and the things they genuinely loved about each other. I think he was attracted to her rebellious spirit (I think the living LoLaan was much more Chiana than the idealized memory of her) and she loves his gentleness and his warrior side, minus the control.

I think he's very aware of who she is.I like that about D'Argo too, now. I think he really came to terms with it in BHTB, when he says he prefers the elegant grey. He knew before that, on some level, but it wouldn't fit with what he thought he wanted from her and from life. I wish we'd been able to see more of their reunion, and where they would go from there (I'd give Chiana 2 months, tops, on a farm...but at that point I'd think D'Argo would be happier where ever she ( ... )

This was lovely..and you are right I haven't read many Chi/D'Argo stories, which is a pity because there definitely was love there between them...obviously not the type that inspires a lot of fan fic for some reason..so we rely on you to give us more! Pretty please!

This was really nice, thank you!

Lovely indeed. Deliciously hot and tasteful at the same time.
What I like most is the perfect interweaving of passion and teasing humor, it gives a wonderful balance to the scene.

Well done!! **emphatic nod**

I'd be thrilled to come across a Chi/D'Argo story written by someone else

You know, I was looking for ideas for another story for FS_Land big challenge, thinking about different perspectives, something out of my usual... turf, and this might be it. I only need to find the right moment to explore. Unless you have a few suggestions... :-)
(sorry, no smut for me - I'm useless at it... LOL)

Thank you, Nym! You're always so kind and thoughtful in your feedback, I really appreciate it.

Their humor is something I never want to lose; sometimes it comes across as veiled fighting, but more often is a warm, ribbing vibe I really enjoy.

I've always thought Chi and LoLaan had more in common than not - LoLaan would have had to have been quite the rebel to marry a Luxan, especially looking at her family

That is SO true, and indeed D'Argo might be attracted to rebels...
This is a very good idea, though I'm intrigued by the others as well - which mean I will have so re-watching to do for... research :-)

Ah, the sacrifices we have to do for Farscape!! LOL LOL

Chi is extremely easy to love. And she in turn loves others extremely easily. She gets the blame of being loose and/or hard to love because in truth she is hard to control and own.

C/D. By the way I used to dabble in writing Chi fic. Still do! Problem is that you describe struggling with the same problems that, in my own personalized versions, I struggle with too... I'd have written C/D and started to, but that was before season 3. They did a good job of killing my interest in it. Besides being darn nice smut, your story brings it alive again while I read... thank you!

Why do you think Chi would like a corset like jacket (if that's what that later costume is?)? I mean if you can think of anyone who doesn't need one, she's there.

I sure wish Gigi's current show was on TV outside of Australia!

First, thank you for the very kind feedback! I'm very happy you enjoyed this little snippet. Do you have links to any of your stories? I'd love to read them.

I was incredibly anti Chi/D'Argo for the longest time...I actually liked them more after they broke up although I didn't warm to their relationship AT ALL until probably my 10th rewatch LOL Now I enjoy it at all stages (minus PKW) in all its angsty glory.

Chi is extremely easy to love. And she in turn loves others extremely easily. She gets the blame of being loose and/or hard to love because in truth she is hard to control and own.I both agree and disagree with this. I think that for us, Chiana is easy to love because we are relating to her as a viewer. I think for a character like D'Argo she is extremely hard to love because of his own character flaws and quirks (which, ironically, are often the same as Chiana's - people forget D was shown with more partners than Chi, and would also never stand for being ordered around and owned by another, but he's largely perceived ( ... )

Oh wow I don't know if anything I wrote still exists I never posted any and it's been years. It's funny that now I'm writing this terribly huge thing with characters from Dr Who a show that was usually um, quaint? That's what's at my journal. I don't know how that happened it just did LOL .I still have a monster Chi within me. Maybe it sounds awful but I do want to write Chi, its the rest I haven't cared enough to write about.

I wonder did you watch the series as it was made or did you watch it rapidly later?

My husband is a huge DW fan and I (mostly) enjoy it too :) I haven't read much fic for it though. I will have to check out yours some time.

And write Chi if you feel like it! No one else has to be in it ;)

I discovered the series in 2005/2006...I watched the first 2 seasons with my then boyfriend/fiance, now husband. We were long distance and I was visiting...went back to the US and started over, trying to scape my family. I succeeded with my mother and we mainlined the series from beginning to end...season 4 was watched in 2 days.

So rapidly, later ;) What about you?

I also have these little Chi/D'Argo fics if you're interested:
