I think you made the right choice. A zoo is much better than mowing. The good thing about a terribly overgrown lawn is that when you finally do get around to mowing it you can really notice the difference and feel good about your effort. :)

Reading "The Zoo vs My Lawn" made me think a zoo went crazy on your lawn leaving lots of mess and tramplings.

I'm also in favor of the zoo!
