As always, in no particular order or significance:

Simple Day was this past weekend.  It was hot.  HOT HOT HOT hot hot.  Miserable hot.  Got unusally (for me) cranky with people, so if I snarked in your general direction, I apologize.

Non-cranky Highlights:

I think that the "amazing week-ends" are the "blue moons" that keep folks going to events, not common, but not once in a life time either. I am sorry to have missed brunch, but the family was happy to be home early.

So what would have made the bardic "amazing"?

Give us something to shoot for! :)

my feeling is that you can arrange for good bardics, and we had the elements. Nice space, good critical mass, folks with clue who did not take much time dithering about whether to play or pass so that made it a good bardic, we just could not get the energy level rising enough for an amazing bardic. Lorelei chose "pick, pass or play" and there are good reasons for that format, but I have changed my mind over the years about whether you can have an amazing bardic with that format. Why, because there is or can be a drop in energy as pass from one person in the circle to another, it gives time for the ditherers or just the polite factor which creates empty space. We might have had more engergy later and switched to more of bardic "pop corn"or free form and then mood of the bardic might have hit a higher note. or the heat just might have sucked every ones energy level, I am told that the Theves party was pretty low key this year also.

it was a good bardic, fun just not one for the ages.
