I used to get upset that nothing happened on the 21st of May. In fact, I once hung out with a dorm parent of mine (also a history teacher) for an entire afternoon trying to come up with an event for this date. We didn't find anything, despite the fact that the Civil War was coming to an end

Yay! Happy birthday!

You share a birthday with my dad, a wedding anniversary with my parents (no, they didn't plan it that way, at least not intentionally), and a month-versary with Elizabeth and me!

Well, I wrote wishing you a happy on the day but was kicked off the neighbor's wireless before posting. I'm back in VA now, alternately pleased and morose about that. I've added you and emsariel to my friends--I'm a lousy user in that I haven't updated in forever, and the few entries that are up should probably be disregarded as exhibitionist tripe, but I do comment sometimes and read pretty often. What a ringing endorsement!
