Hilarious. Nice to see brains/nerdiness *can* win.

I also like the insight into Jim: This isn't exactly a competition to Jim. For the crew it is, but for Jim it's an opportunity... But what Jim considers to be a win depends on what his goal is.
It shows how different his thinking is, and part of what makes (or will make) him a good captain.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked that part of the fic. I consider that sort of thing to be an important aspect of Jim's character so it's nice to see that other people appreciate it. :D
