I haven't had to chance to watch read or hear Carson Philiips yet, something i'm making my mission to achieve asap, but i loved the bit about him contemplating allowing his story into the newspaper because 'nothing sells like a disaster because OMFG that feels like a dead ringer for over ambitious Carson <3 him and his sneaky manipulative plot to get his mom to allow Kurt over was also super adorable

It's happening in November of Season three. Oh man...I hope Burt was a congressmen at that point because I mention it later. I hope so. But at any rate it's season three.

And I'm so glad you're liking it. I was a little worried about how the POV shifts from person to person but I think I did okay. Hopefully the rest of it is just as good.

I'm fairly sure he became a congressman some time in october? I remember lots of hiatus, so don't worry lol XD and don't worry about the points of views, there's smooth transitions because we want to know what's going on over with that person. There's a nice follow on change of focus. For example i would have been upset if Blaine had gone up to Kurt's room and the focus had stayed with Carole, so the shifts are welcome XD i like to think of it as a spotlight?

You raise interesting points in this story about the problems involved with either of them going to visit the other. I hadn't thought about it in the first chapter, but it's really true. If they don't want the whole story to come out, they wouldn't be able to visit in their home towns. Though how did Lima not know about it? I would think that everyone would remember Kurt had a brother.

I handle that later. But honestly Lima isn't as small as people think it is. It is small, but nobody knows everybody. And with the accident happening when Kurt was young I found a plausible way to explain his peers not remembering. Also I think Finn and Carole are from somewhere else. I could have sworn they moved to Lima when Finn was like seven. But I could be wrong.

I'm really enjoying this a lot. I've only seen the various previews of SBL, but from what I've seen you've really captured Carson and his mother. I like your explanation for why his mom is such a mess better than the canon, I think.
