Oh, I think it's a fakeout. Or there'll be a reset. We know Tennant has been filming the Christmas Special, and there have been set photos for scenes we haven't seen yet with him in them.
I wasn't happy with Rose's jealousy coming out again either, but I can rationalise it with her massive disappointment when the fourth quadrant was filled and it wasn't her. She's desperate to get to the Doctor and she thought this was her chance... and then it was a woman she didn't even know. She knew everyone else on the screen. So, yes, it was petty and childish, but I'm thinking it was huge disappointment and frustration, on the level of being close to tears, when yet again she couldn't get to where she needs to be.
LOVED Harriet Jones. But is she really exterminated? I'm not convinced. We didn't actually see her die.
I wasn't happy with Rose's jealousy, but I'm really freaking about her freaking over the regeneration. That so comes across as the only Doctor for her is Ten, considering that she went through one regeneration and got an even closer bond with the Doctor!
I'm pretty convinced Harriet's toast in this loop/reality/timeline. I'm just surprised it took them that long to kill her.
My five-year-old has always loved Mr. Smith's music, and keeps asking me if Sarah Jane can hear it, or is it just "on the TV". I've always told her it was just "on the TV"--looks like yet another thing she's right about, and I'm wrong...
I laughed SO HARD at Rose wanting to get through. I'm sorry, I love Rose, really, but...I laughed.
HARRIET JONES FOR THE ABSOFRAGGIN' WIN. I'd successfully made it this far without any spoilers, so I was not expecting her.
I vote that...he regenerates looking exactly the same? Given that we've seen that Time Lords can choose their own shapes when they want to (Romana), and that he's just met Rose again and sees that she's upset that he might be changing again?
Ah, I see Torchwood isn't going to have any major changes in standard operating procedures here on Who. Not with that little exchange suggesting that Jack's still screwing secrets out of soldiers. But it was strictly professional
( ... )
Jack should have been a mental case by the end of last season; I rather like the Media*West suggestion that the same thing that resets his life and heals his wounds is keeping him sane as well. Because he needs something.
Ianto... well, the fandom's going to love him working out his issues, we both know it!
I agree that there was an awful lot of "we're screwed" from the companions, which I handwave as filler, as we have seen them all save the world on their own. And there's a certain amount of PTSD on Jack's part - they're the ones who put him in his half-life, really - and Sarah Jane's. Although if she doesn't get in one dig about "I told you so" to the Doctor by the end credits next week, I'm going to be very disappointed.
Rose's jealousy didn't bother me - it was petty and childish, but she was so disappointed to not be included, and it mirrored Martha's feelings about her last season. Should be fun if they meet.
I had been looking forward to Jack and Rose meeting again, but he didn't even say hi! I wonder if there's a plot reason as to why Rose felt Ten needed to stay Ten. Just fear that he would be out of commission like he was in Christmas Invasion, or something more?

That, at least, is a nonshippy reason for her fear that I can go with.
