The tuna and nuts kept you going then! What ingredients made up the marinade?

I have no idea what was in the marinade - it was just a can of human catfood next to the "tuna salad in a can" on the supermarket shelf, and I chose it over the salad because it had more protein in it. Came with crackers, which I tossed in favor of nice stomach-filling rolls.

By taste, I'd say it was some variation on Italian dressing.

i have been known to take the plug in bread machine to conventions...

yes, having enough protein will make a BIG difference. i am glad you found something you can eat!

Nuts have long been my "I want something that will satisfy my physical hunger" snack, as they stay with you. Con kibble (actually, I make it myself with dry roasted peanuts, raisins and M&Ms) is a "behind the dealer's table" staple.

I had a big box of "segregated kibble" - dark M&Ms in one side of the bento, mixed nuts in the other. I'm still nibbling on that!
