She's young, and in many ways, an "anime-figure" made out of reality. thin cheeks, thin chin, almost artificially thin, and huge out of proportion eyes. Typical of the ideal teenager, but not nearly as attractive (outside of a pure lustful and sexual nature) to those more mature.

If I was 21, she'd be a total babe. I'm 35 and I think she should grow up more. (On the other hand, I think she's perfect for Orlando Bloom's youthfulness in Pirates.)

I think that how mature you think the character is (or should be portrayed) reflects how you think the look of the actress fits the role.

It would. I hadn't thought of her as an anime character, but now that you've pointed it out I can see it.

Me, I see her as flat-chested & horse-faced, with big, crooked & buck teeth, and she will have her mouth open all the time. But she does have those big eyes, and an infectous laugh, and a brilliant smile without a speck of self-consciousness. That laugh is what really sold me on her Lizzie.

I'm bothered by how flat-chested she is. Her collar bones were more prominent than her boobs -- it was a little scary.

But, yeah, the big eyes and thin chin is very anime indeed. And they are pretty eyes.

think Matsumoto's visions of women rather than the modern well-rounded chests of "Bubblegum Crisis". Nova/Yuki, Emeraldas -- Kiera fits that shape and eyes, though her face is slightly more rounded.

"And it is seven kinds of wrong how hot I got for James McAvoy's darlingly bashful Mr. Tumnus."

You weren't the only one honey!
(And me sitting there next to the husband at the time. Bad Heidi! No cookie!) I was perving over him in Children of Dune!

I saw Narnia with a Purist(tm) and she loves it as well! I enjoyed the whole film immensely. Now, to see Pride & Prejudice. (I'mma bad Austen Fan for not seeing it already!)

Don't worry - Austen-mad as I am, I wouldn't have seen it if it wasn't playing at the local art house. I try to see stuff there when I can - in part because it's only $5 for a matinee and in part because I want them to continue to get the squirrley art flicks and not stick with the same "Bloodbath 3" stuff like all the other movie theaters.

As for Mr. Tumnus... c'mere honey, and I'll warm you up in our own private Christmas...

Amen! What was it about him that made him so adorable? He really wasn't that good looking, but there was something about him that pulled you in.

It was that bashful earnestness to please mixed with that tiny core of bravery and conscience. He wasn't a bad faun, he was just drawn that way. :>
