Also, if you have meds that you will need to take that evening, bring them with you. JiC. Also, if you have any kind of medical condition, write it on your arm/carry a card on your person, in case you are for any reason incapacitated.

Dry socks in a plastic baggie are also helpful, in cold/rainy weather. Nothing cheers the mood like being able to put on warm, dry socks.
