A couple of events this week...
This Thursday, 2/23, the students of Amira Jamal once again take the Athenian Corner in Lowell by storm and do our tag-team version of the five-part routine. We'll be doing two sets, the first will be I think around 8pm or a little later.
Then on Sunday 2/26, Katia is teaching a workshop in Newton on Melaya Leff, the character dance based on the bint al baladi making her sassy way to market to see and be seen. Katia will teach a dramatic traditional dance of the malaya with the art of conceal and reveal. Bring a veil or Egyptian malaya for dancing.
