What the hell kind of convention is Origins? :) You do look stoned, and then dead, and in the picture you got a polling on, I say you look more dorky than not, in a Jim Carey kind of way. But then again, you always were a stunning Brad Majors. ;)
I have done Marscon (not in a few years though) and ShevaCon, where we started a drumcircle. :) It gets more crowds than the Masquerade and RHPS! Watching a Frankenfurter getting down funky-style to African drumming is a riot. ;)
Ah, I thought you meant that question sarcastically, sorry.
Origins is a gaming convention run by GAMA. (It handed it off to WoTC for a couple of years, but we've left those dark ages, thankfully.) GAMA also runs GenCon, which is a little farther west, and is bigger than Origins, but tends to have a slightly different feel, from all accounts.
I've been going to Origins since 2001. Each year, I've been helping out Looney Labs run their gaming space at the convention, which is referred to as The Big Experiment. All of us people who run the tournaments, demo games, help out down in the booth, and similar tasks, are referred to as Mad Lab Rabbits. The one who gets to wear the purple coat with carrot buttons and who's in charge of the lab is called the Top Rabbit. My love for middle management makes that the spot I normally take.
Although I've done Balticon twice ('01 and '06, because '06 had Neil Gaiman, and his assisant's musical duo, Lorraine a' Malena, none of whom I could resist), Origins and Technicon are the only two conventions
( ... )
It's not so much that you look dead, though I can see it... it's more that you look like you're either extremely tired or in deep thought. As for stoned, no, not at all... you look more stoned in the picture in which you dislike your face (I've never seen anyone smoke pot and not end up smiling or giggling despite themselves). Perhaps high on heroin, but certainly not stoned.
Apparently, one of my other friends describes her pot experiences as leaving her feeling paranoid... that doesn't sound like a giggly state, although I've never been around to check.

You look cute without glasses...
Put me up for the weekend and maybe I'll visit. It's been a while since I bonked someone in the ead with a walleyball.

But is it gaming oriented? Sci Fi?
