American Girl dolls?

Does it bother anyone else that the American Girl dolls are different from when we were kids?

I mean, does it even make sense financially to phase out older dolls/books rather than just complimenting them with additional new characters?

And seriously, cutting FELICITY? Why? She was so boss.

I KNOW! I wanted to buy a Felicity doll for Felicity, but they don't make her anymore. :-(

I always thought I'd have a little girl to buy AG dolls for, obviously it didn't work out that way, but in a way I'm almost glad because Kirsten and Felicity were my faves. (Felicity as a character and Kirsten for her clothes, hahaha.) I know I'm the type of moron who'd be spending time and money tracking them down on Ebay so it's probably better for my bank account that I have boys instead.
