The schedule for now up to the end of September has been posted as well. I will be revising it shortly to anticipate eliminations. I do hope that the schedule helps everyone to plan accordingly and use skips when needed. If you know now that you will not be able to participated in any of the next three rounds, do feel free to send an email to ( Read more... )

Two questions, and I hope I'm not being too stoopid here. *g*

One, does it have to be one character or could it theoretically be two (or more)? Like...maybe two characters thinking about the same thing, sort of like. (I'm not inspired yet and trying to jump start the muse)

Two, can it be about anything and anytime? As in, this could be pre-show or sometime in the future as well? And might have nothing to do with NCIS (a case, the rest of the team, etc)? I know that's far-fetched, but see "jump starting" above. *g*

It's alright.

3. Once the Prompt Round is posted, the participating authors will have until the designated deadline to get their stories submitted. NOTE: The challenge prompts are non negotiable. If you are confused by it, don't worry about it. It's your place as the author to interpret the prompt and write. In regards to character relationships, that is an open door choice. While it is understood that you have a preference to a particular pairing, we do encourage that you try a variety of combinations to expand your talents.

There is no specifications in the prompt as to timeline, so anything goes, of course with respected spoilers for Season 5 on.

I hope that answers your queries?

Absolutely, thanks so much for the quick reply. Just wanted to be sure I didn't misinterpret, is all. ;)

Hmm, just something that occured to me - and i'm guessing that the answer will be similar to the highlighted answer you gave sinfulslasher.
But 'internal thoughts', are we limited to a first person story as in 'I thought' or can it be third person as in 'he thought'.

It's just I don't want to end up with bunch of negative votes because people thought I wasn't following the prompt correctly (so my Beta suggested I ask you guys)

thanks!

In essence this challenge is the opposite of the first. No dialogue and is supposed to be a character's thoughts throughout the story, could be centering on another character or through a scene or a day as they go through their motions. But NO dialogue.
