Headslap Dossier

I'm making a headslap dossier of those headslaps I know of. Unfortunately, I don't have many S1, S2, S4, S5 eps at the moment - only most of S3 and most of the eps that have been aired of S6 so far. I could have missed some in those two seasons as well, so if you find others, please do let me know!

Maybe we should vote for our favourite headslap?! *g*. We could link to some YouTube clips... And then we could do a "headslap" challenge - fics and artwork featuring headslaps *g*.

But first we should probably identify them all! I'll make a note of any I come across while rewatching. Yay!

That's a great idea with linking to Youtube clips! That would definitely help my deplorable memory! *g*

Another idea I had was with eps that come up sans headslap we could discuss/squee/vote on the moments when there should have been a headslap! There was one of those in Heartland recently, and I thought for sure Tony was going to "collect', but No!

Re identifying them, I'll dl a season at a time again soon, so I can take notes. I'll do that once I get through 4 seasons of "Coupling" which is eating my drive space at the moment.

I'm also kind of going slow right now with work starting again. I just got this comm set up under the wire and have joined a few ncis comms, so when I get some time, I'll pimp it out a bit.

Re the sans headslap thing - Chimera is a WHOLE ep where Gibbs doesn't slap Tony once but Tony deserves it on numerous occasions! I have no idea why Gibbs is being so restrained as I really think it would have helped Tony focus - he's beyond annoying in that ep.

And hee - what about eps where Gibbs slaps Tony and it isn't justified? Mind you, I'm not sure there ARE any of those *g*.

Yep, you're right... I can't think of any where it's not really justified.

What about other team members... and... team leaders who really ought to be on the receiving end of a few. I thought Abby could have done with one in 'Silent Night' and Gibbs too, for his comment about Tony (not that I'm annoyed with him *growl* much).

There were only 6 head slaps in the first season and I've been through the second season too - sad I know - but I had to research them for a story I wrote. I was missing them in Season 6. I don't have timings but I can let you have the info - as soon as I've typed it up.

ah, only six. Yeah I thought they were fairly light on, in S1.

Oh no, not sad, at all! Headslaps should get all the close attention and inspection they richly deserve LOL!

Oh, even just rough guides or descriptions of the moments would be a huge help, if you don't have the times! That would be fabulous! *sends you headstrokes*

How many were there in S2? I think S1 was headslap light because they only came up with it half way through the season.

Well, as you asked...

Slaps in Season 2 - Proper slaps 16, but if you include the aborted slaps and all the elbows, punches and kicks from Kate, the boxing scene and the 'silencing an enemy sentry demonstration' then it's 29.

DiNozzo to McGee - 3
DiNozzo to Palmer - 1
Cheyney to Monteleone - 1
Monteleone to Probie - 1

Aborted slaps
DiNozzo to McGee - 1

Elbows/ Punches/ Kicks
Todd to DiNozzo - 8 elbows/ 1 punch/ 1 kick

Then there is the boxing scene and the autopsy scene where Gibbs demonstrates... using DiNozzo... how to silence an enemy sentry.

But I'm sure I'e missed some, I'm sure there are more... it felt like a lot more.

It wasn't shown on scene, and I can't remember the episode for the life of me, but Ducky was talking with Gibbs about headslapping Jimmy, but only once, since he seemed to like it too much. (Tells you about the power of the headslap!) Maybe this will jog someone else's memory?
