I'm actually getting more and more convinced that both Gibbs and Ducky will be leaving at the end of this season and that the show will try to stagger on with DiNozzo as 'Gibbs' and Jimmy as 'Ducky'.

I am trying not to panic here but... it's extremely difficult. o_o It's so plausible it hurts. ;_;

You and me both :-((

It really is getting more plausible by the minute. *Meep*

I'm with you. Gibbs will go out in a blaze of glory or be completely discredited and Ducky will retire.

I think so too.

I don't want him to be discredited, I really don't. Blaze of glory would be far better.

Eh, okay I suppose. Lawyer lady is awful - I'm also working on the assumption Gibbs is playing her because if not... Oy ( ... )

Please, please, please, may I strangler her? Pretty please? He's got to be playing her; he's GOT to be.

It's amazing this continuity thing. True, I was thinking what if he had to fire a gun? Although we've seen him shoot well with his left hand, but even so . . .

*Picks self up off floor* *Falls down again* *Struggles up and hangs onto desk* *Blinks* That is why the whole Tony/Ziva thing I think personally is well done - because it can be read as each person wants it to be. It was a clumsy way in, but it could have been worse.

Jimmy, bless him *Pets Jimmy* Just like two bemused fathers really. And I do like how Jimmy has developed and as you say babbles less. I'm glad you also liked the popcorn bit. And thought the 'beautiful kids' so Tony *g*

I know. I know. Well I guess it could be that Ausiello is out of date and this 'blind' time goes back to earlier in the season? Or the whole MH going was just a feeling we had and now it's blown up. Or as you say, it was another show.

Yes, Tobias *Bounces*

I'll hold her down, you can do the honours! He really has to be. He really really does.

Exactly! I just don't see how he'd be allowed out; even if he can shoot left handed if there was a physical fight, he'd be seriously disadvantaged & put everyone else at risk, not just himself. Grrr.

*thinks about helping you up* *doesn't* *sticks out tongue* Ahem. Moving on...

I liked Vance this week as well, very Directory. Honestly, it could have been a good ep if that god awful woman wasn't there.

Last night I'd convinced myself it wasn't NCIS he was talking about, this morning I'm not sure again. Though I do still find the comment about "given the players involved this time" a strange comment. To me that points very strongly that it isn't us.

Eeeeee!

Okay - that sounds good to me! Well quite. He simply has to be.

Exactly! He should have been tied to his desk and it's not as if he really needed to be out.

Charming. *Sulks*

I have to confess I too liked Vance this week. I agree; she just winds me up from the second I see her - plus, she's difficult to believe in.

Careful you don't get splinters from the fence sitting *g* That's true. In one way it points totally to us, in another . . .

*Smiles*

I'm still not so sure if I should like this episode or not. It was okay but everything else ... I don't know. The ending killed every good piece we saw before. I'm glad that they didn't show the actual kiss (so we can pretend it didn't happen) but what we've seen was enough. In that moment I regretted to had breakfast before ( ... )

He has to be playing her; he really has to be. It has to be about Colonel Bell. There isn't anything between them.

*Smiles* It was partly the way he was lounging in the chair in Vance's office.

I honestly don't know. I can't say it rang a bell with me, but it wouldn't surprise me if it had been used before.

And yet McGee was the one who knew about it all the way through - not when it comes to disarming, but all other stuff. At least it was consistent within the episode.

I don't know enough about US agencies to know the intricacies as to when one is 'in charge' and when another.

The lawyer needs 'dealing' with soon!

I'm tiring of Gibbs's sitting room too. It's another of these overplayed things. Having given us it once, we now have to have it shoe-horned into virtually every episode. Basement & boat, we want them back. No coffee this week.

I hope manage to stay awake.

Yay, for another 'Gibbs is playing her' person. Indeed, they do like to hit us over the head. I think it'll backfire badly too. Now the only question is, is she playing him as well? Which could add an interesting dimension.

Indeed it was hypocritical of her. Thanks for the link - loved it!

I don't think we're meant to either, which is probably a good thing as I'm yet to find anyone who does like her. I don't know the actress at all, so it's good to hear, actually, that it isn't her, but the writing and her acting. Thanks for that.

Sorry, I meant has she got any other agenda other than the Bell one - i.e. is she doing it for Bell and for herself? She may have her own reason to want to get him, apart from her link to Bell. Do you think she and Bell are/have been lovers?

*Meep* That could indeed get really bad.

Oh, I'm sure she is, no question about it - it all depends on just to what lengths and how many games she's playing.

BTW, I rewatched with hubby last night - and he came straight out with 'he's playing her'.

I fully agree with this. I do hope he's only 'playing' her - cause I hate this woman. I was so angry after last night's episode I actually watched part of NCIS LA...which. Is. Bad.

0.0 W-w-what? Well...if they do truly leave the show(or only David MmC for that matter) NCIS will 'stagger' indeed and into very bad ratings. I don't know about you but I will discontinue watching the show. >_< (I know too many people who only watch this show because of David McCallum and Mark Harmon.)

I would say I liked this episode(Ducky intimidating McGee was funny and Jimmy tapdancing was very funny!) but the ending scene just killed it all. :(

I'm sure he's playing her; convinced of it. I'm sure the Colonel Bell link wouldn't be involved if it was 'for real'.

There's been rumours and talk and strong feeling all season that MH wants out. And DMc has always said he'll stay as long as MH does. But yes, Gibbs without Ducky (and that's not with my slash hat on, that's with my friends and the fact that Gibbs can talk to Ducky in a way he can't talk to anyone else) just wouldn't work.

I loved Ducky intimidating McGee - talk about use of height in reverse. So good. And Jimmy . . . *Loves Jimmy*

Do you think MH's bad feelings stem from the spinoff? Or is it something else?

And I see we have the same memory of DMc sticking with MH.

As for the last part -- You are ablsolutely right: Gibbs without Ducky just wouldn't work.

We certainly know he was not happy about the spin-off and said so! But he also said at least none of 'our' people will be acting in it. And what happens? First we have RC, which is understandable, but then PP goes too. And if the Ausiello blind thing is our show, as many think/are sure then it does point strongly to it.

We do indeed *g*

Oh, it wouldn't work without Ducky. When we had the whole 'scare' over BB, even before I said anything J said it just wouldn't work. The only way it would was to bring Fornell into every episode or suddenly come up with another old close friend for Gibbs. Gibbs needs someone who isn't a member of the field team and who is his age/a bit older with whom he's close friends. The show needs Gibbs to have that kind of interaction.
