*hugs Ducky*

Loved your imagery of Ducky acting like a happy little boy discovering the snowfall. Then, my heart ached for him. I love the gesture of him putting the blanket on his mother's grave. The scene with the kids has them all pegged perfectly -- especially Abby launching herself at him! And what a sweet, lovely ending. *happy sigh*

Merry Christmas!

Thank you!

I am glad you liked the imagery.

Abby is like a rocket at times.

And Happy New year to you!

Finally, I get to read this.

Oh, what a wonderful mix of emotion. I had tears in my eyes and sniffed and felt so sorry for Ducky. And I smiled and went 'awww' at what the children had done and laughed too.

And the ending . . . Perfect.

Could I trouble you, please, to actually put the prompt you used for the story? Rather than 'submitted for etc. actually put the prompt. It'll just be interesting when it's over to see what prompts were used.

Thank you.

Oh, I am so glad that you liked it.

Thank you for your nice comments.

I did put in the prompt, but realized that I had written it "prompt-less."

The Reston House stories frequently just write themselves.

I did, very much.

Ah, you did? Re-looks. Oh, yes. I missed it. I just saw the 'Written for . . . ' And missed the actual prompt which got lost at the very end. Okay, duly noted.
