Awwww.

Lovely.

Such a range of emotions in this one. It made me sniff a couple of times (both in sadness and happiness), giggle, smile, sigh happily and just generally feel very warm and contented.

Mrs. Mallard is a force with which to be reckoned - most definitely. Hee. Well done Ducky's mother.

A super story.

Gee, it wasn't even meant for a hanky award. The request was for angst with a happy ending.

Thank you

By the end I was so wrepped up in it that I think I burned out emotionally. I'll have to reread it in a week or so.

You notice the longer my stories the more serious?

well done.
I loved the debate that was going on in Ducky's oh so analytical mind.
Mother Mallard is quite the perceptive one, eh?

Thank you so much. Sometimes it's the people that seem to understand the least that actually know the most, isn't it?

You are so welcome. My beta wwanted me to play up the cat, but I misunderstood her and played up the dogs instead. To be honest, the only reason the kitten appeared on the doorstep was to fill one of your prompts. Like how I snuck it in?

Hugs Mrs. Mallard! (And you) She could see that those boys just needed a nice gentle kick in the pants.
