And you know how much I really really love that "Steel" gaze of his.
Wonderfully brillant

Ah, yes, the 'steely' gaze :-) I think of you every time I put that in, and tend to pop it in for your pleasure :-)

And this:
"Do you ever think we've been together for too long, dearest?"
is *too* funny. Phooey to Jethro for taking him seriously!
Oh, and the last bit about prevarication could have come straight from a Garak/Bashir scene...
"So which story was true?"
"Oh, it's all true."
"Even the lies?"

Jethro isn't always the confident bastard he likes to pretend he is. But you'd think he knew his Duck better than that.
Ah, yes, I recall the Garak/Bashir scene well.

I meant to post a longer review, but the meds got the better of me.
So here it goes....
Ducky's steel look was a nice touch, so was the bit where Jethro thought he was going to lose Ducky. My heart was in my throat over that.... Jethro's fear was very palatable and I was relieved when I knew they would stay together...

Hey, no worries about the length of the review, I know all too well what meds can do to you 'oh, look pretty letters on screen' comes to mind at times :-)
I'm pleased to hear about the specific bits your liked, and it's nice to hear that Jethro's fear was believable and moved you. It's all too easy to think of him as utterly fearless and unbothered, but he's not like that really.
Thank you again and feel better soon.
