I LOVE this. The pacing was wonderful and you captured Tony's thought process so well. I kind of winced at the end where Jeanne came back b/c I was surprised that such a dark and insightful fic would take a happily-ever-after ending. But it didn't because of that last line, which was wonderful. I hope you write more!

I'm a sucker for happily-ever-after, but in this case I tried to note that Tony can't be happy without both of them (and wouldn't have been happy with Jeanne had he chosen her, et cetera) so the ending wasn't all Jeanne! Kittens! Rainbows! I'm glad it worked out for you! :)

I second what everyone have said! In the beginning I didn't think it would work (for someunfathomble reason) but you totally made this great. I loved reading it, and you captured everything so well, Tony running out of Dr. Hill's office, almost hitting Gibbs but Gibbs stopping him...that was my favorite part.

This is just how complicated but at the same time, simple, the show is and the relationships between the characters.

Looking forward to seeing more from you :)

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it. My train of thought for the running-out-of-office part went something like this:
Tony: wants to punch Gibbs
Tony: tries to punch Gibbs
Gibbs: is not an idiot
Gibbs: is also badass!
