Just to make things clear (and this is me taking the dictator hat on, being the Modly Mod of Modliness), because the rules are unclear of what's okay and what's not as far as advertising that you've been nominated, I hereby say this:

Thanks for clarifying that, hon! Honestly, I hope I haven't caused too much hassle for you - I was just so confused because I knew I'd read it somewhere but for awhile couldn't remember where.

I'm not surprised you didn't remember it - I forget things as soon as I've said them most days. But I'm really glad you've cleared it up because for awhile there I thought I was going loopy there with thinking, "I'm sure I read that was okay but it seems it's not - so why on earth did I think it was?!" LOL!

Well I'm not angry for sure. I was just confused and a tad miffed at the time as I was sure the info came from *somewhere* but couldn't remember where for awhile so I was all at sea about it.

It was an honest mistake though, and you've clarified it. I thought I might make a post about it on my LJ to that effect but not if you think it'd make matters worse. I don't know who WOULD be angry about it - people who thought it was against the rules before could now post about it if they wanted to. But honestly I think those voting are pretty smart and most read the stories nominated first or have already done so. I'd certainly post to that effect. I don't think I'd put up story links again just yet because I do hope people would read all the fics nominated first. In retrospect I wished I hadn't anyway.
