Artists: Even if your artwork is picked last it could be someone's first choice. In 2015, I had no intention of writing for the challenge, but the last unclaimed artwork was my first choice. It seemed like destiny! In 2016, the last piece to be claimed inspired an Author who also had no intention of writing for the challenge. Again, it seemed like the match was meant to be.
Notes:
- Even if the submission currently has no additional art available, ALL Artists are free to create more art and to finalize the original piece before stories are posted.
- Crossover allowed means the Artist is okay with you writing a crossover. You do not HAVE to write a crossover for a story where crossovers are allowed, unless the Artist has specifically stated it must be a crossover. If the Artist chose to list allowed fandoms, you can only crossover with the fandom(s) they have approved.
- I will make the claimed artwork a bit smaller to make it easier to see they have been claimed, while leaving the unclaimed art larger to show more detail. Click any image to see the larger size.
On Saturday, 13 January, I will open the claims up at 17:00 Greenwich mean time. If needed, see the Time converter. If you are not available to make a claim at this time, you may appoint a proxy. Please make sure they note that they are claiming for you.
There are 18 art submissions to choose from. Author signups are open through Friday. The posting order for the artwork was chosen by a Random Sequencer.
How to make a claim:
Comments will be disabled until the claims open on Saturday. Once the claims are open, please comment below using the template provided. Use the corresponding number to claim a submission. Signed up Authors may make their first choice beginning Saturday at 17:00GMT/UTC. If there is unclaimed artwork, signed up Authors wanting to make a second choice may do so on Sunday, 14 Jan, at 17:00GMT/UTC. Please do not make a second claim unless you are certain you can write both stories. If there are unclaimed art submissions after Sunday, we may open them up to non-signed up Authors.
Claims are first come, first serve. Since the claims have been moving fast the past couple of years, I've added more lines. You are not required to put more than one choice.
