Top Ten Reasons for being an Episcopalian... at least according to Robin Williams

My daughter and I went to the National Cathedral on Mt. St. Albans (the highest point in the District of Columbia) and had a very good tour and tea on Wednesday.

While I was in the gift shop found a mug that listed the Top Ten Reasons for Being an Episcopalian (yes, I am a cradle Episcopalian). I thought it was rather funny and I've added a few ( Read more... )

I added a picture of the Space Window. The moon rock is in the middle of the moon and the trajectory of the trip is visible if you look hard. The sun was on the opposite side of the cathedral when I took the picture and my flash was pitiful in that vast space.

Oh, that's very cool! I'd love to go back to DC sometime soon and see more stuff like that!

And, the power of light deceases exponentially from it's source. Most camera flashes aren't powerful enough to light anything beyond 15 feet (which is why you often see pros working outside during the day or with lots of lamps and reflectors), so if you ever take a photo of something beyond that point, you might as well turn the flash off to save the power.
