Congratulations! You deserved something nice for Valentine's Day. Damn don't those moments feel great! The self consciousness thing will fade over time but it will take a while, just remain confident in your wonderful self.

When you're six-two, it helps to have long arms, because then you can catch the door before it shuts in your face because the man you were following was too intimidated to hold it open for you.

Going around looking super tough probably isn't all it's cracked up to be. :-)

The laughing thing is something we've all had to deal with at one time or another. And the fact is, usually people are laughing at something entirely different. There are three stages to it: "Are they laughing at me? Yes, I'm sure they're laughing at me!", "Mmm, maybe they're not laughing at me, just act natural and ignore them.", and "It's so nice to see people laughing and having a good time these days." It just takes time.

But it's all good when they do hold doors open for you! It's that little bit of chivalry and politeness that shows you're heading in the right direction.

I'm gonna start stretching my arms, lol,
I think i'm getting closer to maybe they're not laughing at me.I was really surprised he waited holding the door, cause like i said i took my time getting there.Everyday's a new experience,it's so awesome just to be able to be ME:) I think of you alot i hope you're continuing to heal,i think ya ought to have your own cycling reality show, since the writers strike Reality shows rule here in the U.S.
