I'm sorry that happened :( it can be so hard to deal with situations like that, to not just retreat and start getting paranoid about what everyone is thinking. I know I do it all the time.. I hear someone laughing, even far away, and I assume they're laughing at me

I try to remind myself that even the people who do stare or make comments usually probably aren't even hateful, just curious. I mean, I know sometimes if I think someone's trans, I'll look at them a bit, just to try to figure out if I think they are trans or not. *shrug*

good for you for keeping strong and talking about it here! and good luck with voice stuff, that can be so so hard and frustrating

I totally second serenefish. It can be tough when someone reads you. Unfortunately that is an issue we all have to face. It gets easier with time, but man does it still suck!!!

I know and i also know it won't be the last time, but it's so worth it to finally be me all the time. It's big time motivation to keep working on my voice!

I know it hurts when that happens, but I know that it is not the norm. Some people are just a little bit more perceptive about mannerisms or voice, or some intangible thing.

This will happen in the beginning, but it will get better. Some people still sir me on the phone, and I was once sirred at an Airport while ordering food, (the guy then corrected himself, perhaps it was sleep dep) Then there was the time that someone asked their friend to "ask that girl if we can borrow her laptop", then her friend said, "I think that's a guy".

This gets better over time, the more you shed your old life, and get acclimated.

We are rooting for you.

Hugs
